After years of hiring from the same adult workforce within the audio industry, we have decided to take a different approach to the future of VPI\u2014one that not only strengthens our company but also positively impacts society.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

VPI has developed an educational mentorship program in partnership with several local schools to provide students with real-world experience while integrating fresh perspectives into our business. Through this initiative, students from the following institutions participate in hands-on learning at VPI with hands on experiences and mentors to guide them:<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    Monmouth University<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 College students, primarily from my IT-150 Business Technology class<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Collier Vocational School<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Hands-on students seeking real-world mechanical experience<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Holmdel High School<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Business and economics students gaining insight into real-world operations<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

    Our Mentorship Model<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n
    \n

    VPI aims to position itself as a leader in education while also fostering connections with younger individuals who are well-versed in the latest technological and social trends shaping the next generation.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    \n

    VPI\u2019s resident staff act as mentors, guiding students through business, technology, engineering, sales, marketing, and more. Each mentorship is coordinated with a school mentor advisor, ensuring that students receive structured learning aligned with their academic curriculum.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    During the program, students:<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    • \n

      Are assigned to a VPI mentor\u00a0based on their area of interest and expertise.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Work on real-world tasks\u00a0within the factory and office.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Follow lesson plans\u00a0that outline the skill being developed, its practical application at VPI, and its broader impact on the industry.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Receive an opportunity to transition into part-time or full-time employment\u00a0at VPI upon successful completion of the mentorship.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

      Mat Weisfeld \u2013 VPI Owner\/CEO<\/strong> Provides students with an overview of running a business<\/strong>, demonstrating how their education applies to real-world operations. Covers key areas such as office management, turntable production, marketing, and sales.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

      Jane Weisfeld \u2013 VPI Office Manager <\/strong> Teaches students about order processing, vendor relations, and shipping logistics<\/strong>, providing insight into the daily operations of a business office.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

      Ben \u2013 Lead Engineer <\/strong> Guides students through engineering concepts<\/strong>, including electronics, circuitry, motor calibration, material science, and overall product design.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

      Bill \u2013 Packaging & Logistics<\/strong> Oversees accessory assembly, packaging, and quality control<\/strong> for final production.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

      \n

      Howie \u2013 Turntable Technician<\/strong> Leads students in turntable assembly and testing<\/strong>, ensuring they gain hands-on experience in product construction.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

      \n

      Bridget \u2013 Warehouse Manager<\/strong> Teaches inventory management and efficiency improvements<\/strong>, optimizing factory operations.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

      \n

      Faith \u2013 Customer Service <\/strong> Educates students on customer relations, photography, social media engagement, and handling professional communications<\/strong> (calls and emails).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

      \n

      Chanya \u2013 Production and Tonearm Wiring<\/strong> Works in the Engineering area to help prep and wire tonearms and circuit boards.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

      Student Mentor Advisor<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n
      \n

      Kelly Clark<\/strong> \u2013 Student Mentor AdvisorServes as the onsite liaison between VPI and the students, ensuring they stay on task while gaining meaningful hands-on experience. Kelly oversees their progress, provides guidance, and ensures that both the students and VPI benefit from the mentorship program.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
